Our family decided to try out for the Easter pageant this year and we made it. This is a picture of us in our costumes. They provide the costumes and all accessories. We are "sellers" in 2 of the group scenes and we are "rock followers" during the 10 virgin scene. We sit on a large rock and listen to Jesus tell about the parables. It has been fun to spend every night together as a family. It reminds me of when the Hyer family lived in Taiwan and Dad/Grand-dad would say, "Every night is family night!" We started rehearsals on March 14 & 21, and then every night at 6:30-10:00 from March 24- April 11. Participating in the pageant has increased our testimony about Jesus Christ, his ministry and atonement. It has been challenging to commit the time, but will be sad when it is over. It is a very moving pageant. It is the largest annual Easter Pageant in the world with a cast of over 400, crew of 300. There are about 8000 chairs set up and then lots of lawn space for blanket seating.
