Michael was sustained as the new Stake President for the Mesa East Stake on Sunday, August 30th. In the picture from left to right is: Elder Kikuchi, Tim Cowley 1st Coun., Michael, Steve Thomas 2nd Coun., and Elder LeSueur. Michael still wakes up in the morning and tells me he can't really believe that he is a Stake President. Everyone tells him how excited they are and that he will do a great job. He really will. As you can see, Michael stands a good deal taller than everyone else. While Elder Kikuchi was speaking he had Michael come and stand next to him. He commented about himself that he was so handsome because he eats a lot of rice. Then he said that Michael must be so tall because he drinks a lot of milk! We must eat enough rice too, because he is a pretty handsome AND tall President. He has to sit on the stand in whatever ward he visits each week, so today he was at our ward and he sat on the stand. This will require him to pay attention and not dose each week. We know our family will be very blessed.

President Michael J Toone
